It is very important to remove old product buildup from your hair. Exfoliating shampoo will help you achieve that as it removes all Oils and products on the hair. Make sure to wash your hair in one direction to avoid matting as exfoliating shampoo will make the hair dry as striping away all the dirt!
HOW TO MOISTURIZE AND KEEP YOUR CURLY HAIR MAINTAINED
Keeping your curly weave moisturized is the most important tip in keeping your curly hair maintained. Curly hair requires a lot of moisture so is important to know how to keep curly weave from drying out. A better way to keep curly hair looking its best is through adequate conditioning. For the best results, a conditioner should provide the hair with moisture without adding grease which will weigh the hair down and make it appear greasy looking. Products specifically designed to provide curly hair with the maximum moisture are good. Apply a generous amount of it throughout your entire wig.
Curly hair is naturally drier than other hair extension types. It require extra moisture to maintain its luster. We recommend using a hydrating or moisturizing conditioner on your curly hair after shampooing to lock in moisture and prevent frizzing.
Tip: For additional softness and even distribution, mix lukewarm water and conditioner in a spray bottle. Spray onto the hair brushing in one direction.
The styling process on keeping your curls locked in can now begin. To keep the “wet” look your hair will require a leave-in conditioner or moisturizer while the hair is still wet. For a more tamed look, add a generous amount of Oil of your choice (Castor oil, Argan Oil, etc.) to your moisturizer or leave-in conditioner before applying to hair to ensure even distribution.
